Shawn Brandson grew up in Arborg area and spent many a day in the area enjoying his childhood. He then moved to the city where he worked a wide range of jobs in fine restaurants to owning ''Promenade Cafe and Wine'' in old St. Boniface. Marlene caught up with him as he was preparing to deliver a Cooking with Cattails Workshop at the cafe in Oak Hammock Marsh Interpretive Centre. In this interview, Shawn shares his fond memories of the Interlake and his continued career in the food services industry.
